Amazing Boat Ride on the Chaophraya River outside of Bangkok!
We had an incredible experience outside of Bangkok yesterday, just a couple of hours after arriving at our hotel from a 40 hour trip from home to get here. I don't know what could've been more perfect for this boat loving principal than a ride on the Chaophraya River. It reminded me so much of old Vietnam movie landscapes. The dwellings alongside the river, the jungle-like appearance, the brownish water, etc. we saw the most lovely people washing their clothes with scrub boards or bathing along the river. The people seemed so excited to see us as they went about their daily chores. Our boat and driver are shown below.
