We started our day on Sunday with going to the Floating Market 66 miles southeast of Bangkok, located in the Charajburi Province. What a fantastic experience this was. We boarded another long tail boat and sped through miles of man made canals to get to the Floating Market. The Bangkok area has 600 kilometers of canals and is known as the "Venice of the East."
We sped by homes on the river's edge until we approached the marketplace. I love lookin at these homes and wondering about their lifestyles and what it's all like for these families. When we got out of the boat to see the walking part of the marketplace, I was met by two adorable Thai children who were relentlessly trying to sell their wares to me. There were countless vendors there.
I loved seeing the floating vendors. We sampled some delicious fruits that I've never seen or tasted before.
Wow. Very different from the US. Looks like something from the Amazing Race. Great pictures and narrative. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous colors! Feeling a bit guilty about last night's chemical-laced Mexican food. Enjoy and taste everything! Like I have to tell you that, adventurer girl!
